The good life

I never went to Loblaws in Victoria Park, instead I walked to Queen & Kingston rd and Coxwell & Gerrard to check out two gyms, System Fitness and Good Life.

Have heard lots about Good Life, seems to be a popular gym and it's not that expensive. They really put a lot of effort to make you sign up for a membership - they showed me around, asked me to sit down, gave me a pen, a book about health and a "salesman type of guy" gave me a dose of the typical kind of sales talk. To his disappointment I had already decided not to sign anything before I had thought things through properly. The gym seemed good though. One of the managers had lived in Sweden before and knew a couple of words Swedish, super fun! Love to meet Swedish people.

The other gym seemed to be good too and about the same money. They didn't give me a book (WHAT?!), but I'm sure the gym is good anyway. Have to discuss this with Frida! I'm not completely sure I would even have time for the gym later on when I work full-time and will go rollerskiing, running and biking as well. And who want to spend time inside when it's summer? Maybe we'll go Rocky-style and do push ups on the beach instead. We'll see!

Came back home with two books actually. Passed by a book store in my way home and couldn't resist a book called "All over the map" by Laura Fraser. Haven't started it yet, but it's about traveling, adventure & romance - must be good!

And Frida, if you read this, Laura just gave us two mirrors to have in our room - yeeey! Hope New York is great :)
